Objective ： To evaluate the posterior continuous curvilinear capsulorhexis (PCCC) in preventing posterior capsular opacification (PCO) after posterior chamber intraocular lens implantation in children . Methods ： PCCC was made in 127 cases (179 eyes) of posterior chamber intraocular lens implantation and followed up over 2 months to 1 year . Results ： 160 eyes（89.4﹪） could keep the a clear visual . the best corrected visual acuity was improved 0.5 or over in 69eyes（39.1﹪）. None of the cases was discovered to develop serious complications. Conclnsion ：The PCCC is an effective method in preventing children PCO.
